Fresh local greens in March? Well, yes. We have two unheated hoop houses that were planted to greens last fall, and will be harvesting some by mid March. We will have some kale for the March 19 Lebanon Farmers Market, possibly mustard greens and spinach, and some storage crops from last season that we have had in storage (beets, rutabaga, turnips, celeriac, maybe onions and shallots). By the end of March we should have quite a few greens and will be shipping to the Coop and local restaurants. Later in April there will be chard, beet greens, lettuce, arugula, and a few more. All local, and certified organic!
